Employee Benefits
  1. Health Insurance available for all Employees working at least 60 hours per pay period on a regularly scheduled basis.  Included for covered Employees and any covered family member is 100% coverage for hospital services rendered by Hamilton Memorial Hospital. Prescriptions filled at HMHD Pharmacy are not covered 100% under this plan.
  2. Dental Insurance available for eligible Employees and their families.
  3. Pre-tax treatment of premiums for eligible Employees opting for health or dental insurance.
  4. Paid life insurance in the amount of 1½ times annual earnings up to $50,000 for eligible Employees.
  5. Voluntary life insurance, long term disability insurance, short term disability insurance, and cancer insurance for eligible Employees.
  6. Retirement contributions of 4% of earnings or an amount defined in collective bargaining agreements under which the Employee may be covered.
  7. Tax deferred voluntary retirement plans.
  8. Paid Time Off Program with Paid Time (Vacation), Sick Time, and Extended Time for Employees who qualify.
  9.  Paid meal breaks (½ hour per eight hour shift) for Employees remaining on Hospital District property.
  10. Paid coffee breaks (two 15 minute breaks per eight hour shift).
  11. Payroll deduction savings plans and Christmas Club savings plan.
  12. Discount uniform purchase program.
  13. Discount prescriptions through the Hospital’s pharmacy.
  14. Position transfers within the Hospital District without loss of benefits.
  15. Leave of absences for eligible Employees.
  16. Part time benefits for Employees working as few as 40 hours per pay period.
  17. Direct Deposit of Payroll Checks.
