McLeansboro, IL – Community leaders met Friday, February 5th to discuss a possible course of action in regard to the future of the Hamilton Memorial Hospital District Nursing Center. Members representing the office of the City of McLeansboro, the Hamilton County Board, Hamilton Memorial Hospital District, Southern and Central Laborers’ Union Local 1197, State and Federal legislators held a round table discussion to review any and all steps that can be taken to maintain the facility for its employees and residents. Those attending the meeting expressed a collective desire to work together to keep the facility open and operating.
